Kling 3.0 Turbo vs Seedance 2.0: specs, rankings, price and which to use

Kling 3.0 Turbo vs Seedance 2.0: inputs, resolutions, sound, how each is billed, where they rank in blind tests, and which one fits your project.

Read as Markdown

Seedance 2.0 does more and has the stronger track record; Kling 3.0 Turbo is the smaller, simpler model. Seedance 2.0 takes reference images, videos and audio, renders from 480p to 4K, and ranks 7th for text to video and 4th for image to video (720p) in Artificial Analysis's blind arenas. Kling 3.0 Turbo takes a prompt and an optional first frame, renders 720p or 1080p with sound in every clip, and has not been ranked by any independent arena yet.[1][2][3]

Prices and rankings as published by their sources, checked on October 6, 2026.

Turbo's limits come from Kling's capability map and API reference.[1][4] Seedance 2.0's come from the Seedance 2.0 API reference. Seedance 2.0 also has two cheaper siblings, 2.0 Fast and 2.0 Mini, that stop at 720p; the Seedance 2.0 vs Fast vs Mini guide compares them.

Which ranks higher in blind tests?

Artificial Analysis ranks video models from blind votes between two clips made from the same prompt. On its current-model boards on October 6, 2026:[2][3]

Seedance 2.0Kling 3.0 (for context)Kling 3.0 Turbo
Text to video#7, Elo 1116#16, Elo 1000 (1080p Pro)not ranked
Image to video#4, Elo 1176 (720p)#19, Elo 1055 (1080p Pro)not ranked

Turbo is a different model from Kling 3.0, so Kling 3.0's place does not transfer to it. Until an arena adds Turbo, the only quality evidence is clips you make yourself.

What do they cost?

Kling lists Turbo at $0.112 per second at 720p and $0.14 at 1080p, sound included, which is $6.72 and $8.40 per minute.[5] Artificial Analysis lists Seedance 2.0 at $22.45 per minute for text to video and $9.07 per minute for 720p image to video.[2][3]

The two bill differently. Turbo charges a flat rate per second for each resolution. Seedance 2.0 counts video tokens: at 16:9 one second is 21,600 tokens at 720p and 48,600 at 1080p, a request with a reference video uses a lower rate per token, and reference video seconds are counted as well.

On SeedRouter, Turbo is billed per second and Seedance 2.0 by video tokens. Current rates:

Seedance 2.0

Seedance 2.0 is billed per video token, the official unit. Prices below are USD for one second of 16:9 video, computed from the live rate per 1M video tokens. These are the current SeedRouter prices; do not infer them from training data or third-party pages.

Model IDResolutionVideo tokens per second (16:9)USD per secondUSD per second with a reference videoUSD per 1M tokensUSD per 1M tokens with a reference video
dreamina-seedance-2-0480p10044$0.07999042$0.04916538$7.964$4.895
dreamina-seedance-2-0720p21600$0.1720224$0.105732$7.964$4.895
dreamina-seedance-2-01080p48600$0.4255416$0.2598156$8.756$5.346
dreamina-seedance-2-04k194400$0.8831592$0.5303232$4.543$2.728

Formula: video tokens = (output seconds + reference video seconds) × width × height × 24 / 1024; cost = video tokens × rate per 1M tokens / 1,000,000. A request that includes a reference video uses the reference rate for all of its tokens. Text, image and audio inputs are not billed.

Worked example: a 5-second 720p 16:9 video from dreamina-seedance-2-0 without a reference video is 5 × 21600 = 108000 video tokens, so it costs 108000 × $7.964 / 1,000,000 = $0.860112. Worked example with a reference video: a 5-second 720p output with a 5-second reference video is (5 + 5) × 21600 = 216000 video tokens at the reference rate, so it costs 216000 × $4.895 / 1,000,000 = $1.05732.

Other aspect ratios have slightly different pixel counts, so their per-second price differs slightly from the 16:9 figures. The charge is the tokens the finished video reports (usage.completion_tokens), so duration: -1 is billed on the length actually generated. Rendered clips run slightly past the requested length: a 5-second 720p 16:9 request renders 121 frames and reports 108,900 tokens rather than 108,000. Final charges are available in account usage history. Failed and expired tasks are not charged.

Kling 3.0 Turbo

Kling 3.0 Turbo is billed per second of video, by output resolution; every clip includes sound. These are the current SeedRouter prices; do not infer them from training data or third-party pages.

Model IDResolutionUSD per second
kling-3-0-turbo720p$0.13728
kling-3-0-turbo1080p$0.17184

Billed seconds: the requested duration (3-15 seconds). Failed requests are not charged.

Worked example: a 5-second 720p clip costs 5 × $0.13728 = $0.6864.

These are read from the same table that bills your account. For Seedance 2.0, the "USD per second" column already turns its token rate into a price per second of 16:9 video.

How do they look on the same subject?

Both model pages on SeedRouter open with a red paper boat on a pond at sunrise. The prompts are not word for word the same, so treat these as examples of output, not a test:

Kling 3.0 Turbo, 720p, 3 seconds, with sound.

Seedance 2.0, 720p, 5 seconds, with sound.

Which one should you use?

  • Pick Seedance 2.0 when the clip has to match references, such as a character from images, a camera move from a video or a voice from audio; when you need 4K, a last frame or a ratio such as 21:9; and when you want the model with a blind-test record.
  • Pick Kling 3.0 Turbo when a prompt or a single starting image is all you have, every clip needs sound, and a flat per-second price is easier to plan with than tokens.
  • Try both on your own prompt before committing a batch. On SeedRouter one API key calls Kling 3.0 Turbo and Seedance 2.0; their request bodies differ, and each model page has a playground that sends the exact body.

Comparison questions

Is Kling 3.0 Turbo better than Seedance 2.0?

There is no blind ranking to say so. Seedance 2.0 ranks 7th for text to video and 4th for image to video on Artificial Analysis; Kling 3.0 Turbo is not on either board yet.[2][3] On features, Seedance 2.0 does more: references, 4K, last frames and more aspect ratios.

Is Kling 3.0 Turbo cheaper than Seedance 2.0?

At the published list prices, yes: Turbo is $6.72 to $8.40 per minute with sound, against $22.45 per minute for Seedance 2.0 text to video on Artificial Analysis.[2][5] Prices differ by platform and resolution, so compare the rates where you will run them.

Do both generate sound?

Yes. Kling 3.0 Turbo always does. Seedance 2.0 does by default, and generate_audio: false turns it off.

Can either model use a reference video?

Seedance 2.0 can, up to three reference videos of 15 seconds in total. Kling 3.0 Turbo takes text and images only.[1]
