What is Kling 4.0?
Kling 4.0 is Kling AI’s announced video model for building scenes from text, images and mixed references. Its longer clips and timeline controls give directors more ways to specify where a scene begins, how it develops and where it ends.
The full model is scheduled for a wider release in October 2026. Flash has a separate limited rollout and a smaller feature set. The specifications below describe Kling’s announcement, not features you can already run on SeedRouter.

Kling 4.0 gives you scene control
Kling 4.0’s announced controls address duration, composition and continuity.
Let a scene develop
Kling 4.0’s announced 30-second generation gives a short sequence room for an opening, an action and a closing beat. Plan those beats before writing the prompt.
Place important moments
Use Kling 4.0’s announced keyframe controls to mark a reveal, change of angle or character entrance. Up to 10 frames can guide the timeline.
Bring references together
Combine images, video and subject references to describe the look and action. The announced total is 15 reference assets in one task.
Projects to plan for Kling 4.0
These are ways to use the announced controls when access becomes available, not results from SeedRouter tests.
Product reveals
Sketch the opening composition, reveal and closing shot. Keyframes could help preserve the order of those moments within a short commercial.
Short narrative scenes
Write one scene with a clear action and ending. Keep the first test small enough to judge whether the subject and setting stay consistent.
Cinematic finishing
Consider the announced HDR formats if your editing workflow supports them. Confirm the actual export options before promising a particular delivery format.
