What is Kling 4.0 Flash?

Kling 4.0 Flash is the lighter member of Kling’s new video family. It supports text-to-video, image-to-video and Omni Reference, with a shorter maximum clip and lower output resolution than the full model.

The official rollout is limited. Kling’s September 30 announcement names Ultra Yearly subscribers, with access starting September 28. This does not mean the model is available through SeedRouter. This page covers the release and its stated limits while our access remains pending.

Kling 4.0 Flash early access

Official account access and SeedRouter availability are separate.

Official subscribers

Kling’s launch post identifies Ultra Yearly subscribers for Kling 4.0 Flash early access. The feature overview still describes a limited rollout.

Check Creator Studio

Sign in to your Kling account and look for Kling 4.0 Flash. An announcement or another creator’s screenshot does not confirm your account’s eligibility.

SeedRouter access pending

Kling 4.0 Flash cannot be used here yet. There is no Playground, paid generation or confirmed availability date on this page.

Kling 4.0 Flash: three starting points

Kling 4.0 Flash supports these creation modes in the official feature overview.

Start with text

Describe a subject, setting and action for Kling 4.0 Flash in one short scene. Use a clear ending so you can judge whether the clip follows your idea.

Start with an image

Kling 4.0 Flash supports image-to-video when you have an opening composition in mind. This is distinct from controlling both the first and last frames.

Guide with references

Omni Reference adds another way to describe the intended result. Check the available controls in your account before preparing a large asset set.

Where Kling 4.0 Flash could fit

Choose a project whose requirements fit the announced limits. These are planning suggestions, not SeedRouter test results.

Explore a visual idea

Use a short scene to compare directions for a character, location or product. Keep one creative variable different between drafts so the comparison is useful.

Animate a still concept

Prepare an image and a simple description of movement. Judge composition and action together before expanding the idea into a larger sequence.

Plan a short social clip

Check that a 720p result suits the intended placement. If delivery requires 1080p, 4K or HDR, choose a model that supports that format.

Prepare for Kling 4.0 Flash

  1. 01

    Confirm where you have access

Read the release guide and check your official account. SeedRouter access is still pending.

  2. 02

    Choose the starting point

Decide whether the scene begins with a text description, an image or references. Prepare only the assets that clarify the shot.

  3. 03

    Keep the brief within scope

Plan a clip no longer than 20 seconds. Do not build the sequence around an exact final frame or a multi-keyframe timeline.

  4. 04

Check the result for its destination

Review motion, subject consistency and output format before using a clip in a finished project. Allow time for creative revisions.

Kling 4.0 Flash API status

There is no callable Kling 4.0 Flash model on SeedRouter today. Access in Kling Creator Studio does not enable calls here.

No integration to configure yet

There is no Kling 4.0 Flash request example or API reference here yet. Existing Kling models have separate documentation.

Confirmed options come first

Creative features in an announcement do not define request fields, defaults or media limits. Those details need confirmation before integration.

No generation price yet

A Kling 4.0 Flash rate will need to accompany availability. Do not use a subscription price or another model’s rate to estimate API costs.
