What is Seedance 2.0?
Seedance 2.0 is ByteDance's video generation model, sold as Dreamina Seedance 2.0. It turns a prompt, a first frame, or a mix of images, clips and audio into one video with optional sound, from 480p up to 4K.
On SeedRouter you call Seedance 2.0 with the official ModelArk request body. Submit once, get a task ID, and collect a hosted video URL when the task succeeds.
Video tokens = (output seconds + reference video seconds) × width × height × 24 / 1024. Text and image inputs are not billed.

Seedance 2.0 is the only one of the three that renders 1080p and 4K. Seedance 2.0 Fast and Seedance 2.0 Mini stop at 720p and cost less per second, with Mini the lowest. All three take the same request body, so switching is a one-word change.
What is the difference between Seedance 2.0 and Seedance 2.5?+
Seedance 2.5 runs up to 30 seconds, takes up to 30 image references, and can edit or extend a video you give it. Seedance 2.0 goes up to 4K, while 2.5 stops at 1080p.
How do I get an API key for Seedance 2.0?+
Create a SeedRouter account, add credit, and create a key in the dashboard. Use it as a Bearer token on the Seedance 2.0 task endpoint.
Can I run Seedance 2.0 locally?+
No. Seedance 2.0 is a closed ByteDance model with no downloadable weights, so Seedance 2.0 runs through an API only.
