Fashion catalog photography

Plan consistent catalog images around garment details, model references and scene requirements.

Start with garment evidence

Prepare reference photographs that show the front, back, fabric and distinctive details of each garment. Add the desired model reference, pose, crop and background. Treat garment identity, model identity and scene styling as separate parts of the brief.

The intended output is a consistent catalog set. A generated image does not establish garment fit or replace photographs needed to describe the actual product accurately.

Build the catalog workflow

  1. Create one record per garment and color variant. Describe stitching, seams, buttons, patterns and shape using the references.
  2. Define the recurring camera framing, background and lighting for the collection.
  3. Generate a small set for review before processing the rest of the catalog. Change one dimension of the brief at a time when diagnosing drift.
  4. Compare the result against the garment references, including close views of prints and fasteners.
  5. Retain approved assets and their inputs. Regenerate only the rejected garment or view, then export the required crops.

Review the right details

An image may keep the overall color while changing a sleeve, pattern repeat or hem. Review the garment at full resolution and at the final catalog size. Check whether pose changes hide an important detail or make the item look like a different cut. Keep a human approval step for catalog claims.

Choose capabilities

Look for documented reference-image and editing support in the image model directory. Test the actual garment type rather than assuming that good results on a jacket transfer to lace, patterned fabric or reflective accessories. See the reference prompting guide for ways to separate identity from composition.

Implementation boundary

Your application manages SKUs, references, approved assets and catalog exports. SeedRouter provides image generation or editing through the selected model's documented API. This workflow does not promise physical virtual try-on, fit prediction or automatic acceptance of every result. Calculate costs from actual attempts and current model rates.
