Kling 4.0 Release Date: Full Model and Flash Early Access

Kling 4.0 is planned for October 2026. See how the full release differs from Flash early access, who can try it, and what remains unavailable on SeedRouter.

Read as Markdown

The Kling 4.0 release date is an October 2026 window, without a specific day in the official overview checked on October 8. Kling 4.0 Flash has a separate limited rollout: the September 30 announcement names Ultra Yearly subscribers, with access starting September 28.[1][2]

Neither model is available on SeedRouter yet. You can review the announced features on the Kling 4.0 page and the Kling 4.0 Flash page, but neither page accepts generation requests.

That distinction matters when you see a creator post a clip or an early-access screenshot. It may establish that the creator has access to a particular version. It does not establish a public launch date, access for your account or availability through another service.

What are the official release dates?

There are three milestones to separate: the announcement, the first Flash access and the wider full-model release.

MilestonePublished date or windowWhat the source says
Flash early accessStarting September 28, 2026Ultra Yearly subscribers are named in the announcement
Kling 4.0 announcementSeptember 30, 2026The full model is entering early access
Full model wider rolloutOctober 2026No specific day in the current feature overview
SeedRouter availabilityNo confirmed dateBoth model pages are marked coming soon

The first three rows come from Kling’s own announcement and feature overview, checked on October 8, 2026.[1][2] September 28 and September 30 are different dates because the announcement describes an access period beginning before the post was published.

Do not turn the October window into a promised delivery date for a project. If your work requires a particular version, confirm access in the account you intend to use before scheduling it.

Who can try Kling 4.0 Flash?

Kling’s launch post identifies Ultra Yearly subscribers. Its current feature page uses the broader description of a limited rollout and asks people to sign in to Creator Studio to check availability.[1][2]

The practical check is therefore in your own account:

  1. Sign in to Kling Creator Studio using the account you intend to create with.
  2. Check whether Flash appears among the models available to that account.
  3. Review the current access terms and any usage allowance shown there.
  4. Confirm the model before paying for a subscription change or planning a production run.

These steps are a way to verify eligibility, not a promise that a particular account will qualify. A different creator’s subscription, region or early-access invitation may not match yours.

A SeedRouter account is separate. Signing up or adding credit here does not unlock either of the upcoming Kling models.

Does Flash include the full model’s features?

No. Kling 4.0 Flash is a smaller option within the family. The official comparison lists text-to-video, image-to-video and Omni Reference for Flash, with clips up to 20 seconds at 720p in 8-bit SDR. It excludes first/last-frame control and multiple keyframes.[1]

The full model’s announcement describes longer clips, more timeline control and HDR output. The full-model preview places those specifications beside Flash so the differences are visible together.

For access decisions, start with the requirement that would stop you using a model. If you need to control the final frame precisely, access to Flash does not solve that need. If your deliverable requires a higher resolution or HDR, check the output format before assuming any model in the family will suit it.

Image-to-video is a separate point. The lack of paired first/last-frame control does not mean Flash cannot animate an input image. It means you should not plan a workflow around that extra endpoint constraint.

Is there a Kling 4.0 API on SeedRouter?

Not yet. Both upcoming pages describe announced capabilities and release status. They do not offer a Playground, a callable model, a request example or a SeedRouter generation price.

Access to a creative application and access from code answer different questions. Before beginning an integration, you need a confirmed API reference, supported inputs, output behavior and the actual rate you will pay. A model announcement alone does not provide that contract.

For work that must run now, browse the available models. The current Kling 3.0 and Kling 3.0 Turbo pages have their own capabilities, pricing and documentation. Their availability does not imply that the new releases are callable under the same names or with the same options.

What should you check before planning a project?

Keep a small release checklist tied to the work you actually need to deliver:

  • The exact model. Record whether access is to Flash or the full release.
  • The account. Verify availability where you will generate the clips.
  • The essential control. Check the input and timeline features your scene depends on.
  • The deliverable. Confirm duration, resolution and output format.
  • The cost. Read the terms for that service and that model before spending.

For example, a rough concept clip and a final advertising asset can have different requirements even when they start with the same prompt. Write those requirements before choosing an access offer. This makes it easier to decide whether early access is useful now or whether the project should wait.

Release and access questions

When is Kling 4.0 coming out?

Kling gives October 2026 as the wider release window. The official feature overview checked on October 8 does not name a specific day.[1]

Is Kling 4.0 Flash available to everyone?

The official overview describes a limited rollout. The earlier announcement names Ultra Yearly subscribers; check your own Kling account for current eligibility.[1][2]

Is “Kling Flash 4.0” the official name?

Kling uses Kling 4.0 Flash. Reversed-word-order searches usually refer to the same lighter release, but check the actual model name on any access offer.

Can I try either model for free on SeedRouter?

No. Neither model is available here yet, and no free allowance is offered for them. Official subscription access also does not create a free SeedRouter API allowance.

Should I wait for the full release?

Wait if your project depends on features that Flash does not include. If you only need to explore a short visual idea, first check whether the available model’s limits meet your needs. There is no reason to make a paid commitment based only on a launch window.

What to do next

Check account access first, then decide whether the available version fits the project. Keep the Kling 4.0 preview and Flash preview separate when comparing features. SeedRouter access remains pending for both.
