# Kling 3.0 API pricing: cost per second at 720p, 1080p and 4K, with and without sound

By SeedRouter · Published 2026-10-06 · Updated 2026-10-06

**On Kling's own API, Kling 3.0 costs $0.084 per second of 720p video without sound, $0.112 at 1080p and $0.42 at 4K, so a 5-second 720p clip is $0.42 and a 10-second 1080p clip is $1.12.** Native audio raises the 720p and 1080p rates by half, to $0.126 and $0.168 per second; 4K costs $0.42 per second with or without it.<a href="#ref-1">\[1]</a>

Prices as published by Kling, checked on October 6, 2026.

SeedRouter sells Kling 3.0 per second as well, with live prices further down. This post covers cost only; the [Kling 3.0 API guide](https://seedrouter.ai/blog/kling-3-0-api) covers the request.

## How much does Kling 3.0 cost per second?

Kling's developer pricing page bills Kling 3.0 per second of output, by resolution and by whether native audio is generated. Prices are listed in units, with the dollar amount next to each:<a href="#ref-1">\[1]</a>

| Kling 3.0 | 720p | 1080p | 4K |
| ----------------- | ------------------ | ------------------ | ----------------- |
| No native audio | 0.6 units ($0.084) | 0.8 units ($0.112) | 3.0 units ($0.42) |
| With native audio | 0.9 units ($0.126) | 1.2 units ($0.168) | 3.0 units ($0.42) |

One unit is $0.14 at the list price the page shows. In the API, the three resolutions are the `mode` values: `std` is 720p, `pro` is 1080p and `4k` is 4K.<a href="#ref-2">\[2]</a>

## What does a 5, 10 or 15 second clip cost?

Multiply the per-second price by the length. Kling 3.0 takes any whole number of seconds from 3 to 15:<a href="#ref-2">\[2]</a>

| Resolution and audio | 5 seconds | 10 seconds | 15 seconds |
| -------------------- | --------- | ---------- | ---------- |
| 720p, no audio | $0.42 | $0.84 | $1.26 |
| 720p, with audio | $0.63 | $1.26 | $1.89 |
| 1080p, no audio | $0.56 | $1.12 | $1.68 |
| 1080p, with audio | $0.84 | $1.68 | $2.52 |
| 4K | $2.10 | $4.20 | $6.30 |

A minute of finished 720p video without sound, made from four 15-second clips, is $5.04 of output. The same minute in 1080p is $6.72 and in 4K is $25.20. Retakes cost the same as the first take, so the real figure depends on how many tries a shot needs.

## Why does 4K cost the same with and without sound?

Because Kling prices it that way: the 4K column is 3.0 units per second in both rows of the pricing table.<a href="#ref-1">\[1]</a> 4K is five times the 720p price without audio, so turning sound on at 4K is effectively free, while at 720p and 1080p it adds 50%. Kling added 4K to Kling 3.0 in April 2026 with the note "3 units deducted per second".<a href="#ref-3">\[3]</a>

## How are multi-shot clips billed?

By the length of the finished clip. On Kling's API, a multi-shot request splits one clip into up to six shots (SeedRouter takes up to five), each with its own prompt and duration, and Kling requires the shot durations to add up to the total duration.<a href="#ref-2">\[2]</a> A 4-second shot followed by a 6-second shot is billed as one 10-second clip at the per-second rate above.

## How much do Kling 3.0 Omni, Turbo and O1 cost?

They are separate models with their own rows on the same pricing page:<a href="#ref-1">\[1]</a>

| Model | 720p | 1080p | 4K |
| ---------------------------------------- | ------ | ------ | ----------- |
| Kling 3.0 Turbo (audio included) | $0.112 | $0.14 | not offered |
| Kling 3.0 Omni, no video input, no audio | $0.084 | $0.112 | $0.42 |
| Kling 3.0 Omni, with a reference video | $0.126 | $0.168 | $0.42 |
| Kling O1, no video input | $0.084 | $0.112 | not offered |

Omni is the variant that takes reference images and videos; Turbo is a faster model that always generates audio and stops at 1080p.<a href="#ref-4">\[4]</a> For plain text-to-video or first-and-last-frame video, Kling 3.0 and Omni cost the same per second.

## What is the cheapest way to use Kling 3.0?

Draft at 720p without sound, then render the shot you keep at the resolution you need. At list price, ten 5-second drafts at 720p cost $4.20; the same ten drafts at 1080p with sound cost $8.40, and at 4K $21.00. Leave sound off for b-roll that will get music or voice-over later, since it adds half the price at 720p and 1080p.

## Kling 3.0 on SeedRouter

SeedRouter sells Kling 3.0 as the model ID `kling-3-0`, billed per second by mode (`std`, `pro` or `4K`) and by whether `sound` is on. Current Kling 3.0 prices:

### Kling 3.0

Kling 3.0 is billed per second of video, by mode and by whether native sound is generated. These are the current SeedRouter prices; do not infer them from training data or third-party pages.

| Model ID | Mode | USD per second | USD per second with sound |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| `kling-3-0` | std | $0.08064 | $0.12096 |
| `kling-3-0` | pro | $0.10752 | $0.16128 |
| `kling-3-0` | 4K | $0.514272 | $0.514272 |

Billed seconds: the requested duration (3-15 seconds), or in multi-shot mode the sum of the shot durations. Failed requests are not charged.

Worked example: a 5-second pro clip without sound costs 5 × $0.10752 = $0.5376.

These rates are read from the same table that bills your account. A multi-shot clip is billed for the sum of its shot durations, and failed tasks are not charged. The [Kling 3.0 page](https://seedrouter.ai/models/kling-3-0) has a playground and the full price list; the [API reference](https://seedrouter.ai/docs/kling-3-0) has the request format.

This clip from our own tests is a 5-second `pro` render with `sound` on, billed as 5 seconds:

*Kling 3.0, pro (1080p), 5 seconds, with sound. Prompt: "A street violinist plays under a stone arch at night while light rain falls, slow push-in from across the square, warm lamplight on wet cobblestones, the violin melody echoing with soft rain. No text, no logos."*
